Eugene Pro Rodeo

EUGENE — Area rodeo fans celebrated the Fourth of July at the Eugene Pro Rodeo with bull riding and a little bit of freestyle motorcycle jumping.

A group of cowboys takes in the action as a bull charges from the chute with its rider hanging on tight.

A bull rider hits the deck after getting thrown in the competition's long round.

A few of the cowboys managed to hang on for the required eight seconds in the long round ...

... but most of them didn't.

Pre-rodeo entertainment included the Metal Mulisha's motorcycle jumping show.

The motorcycle show featured an array of impressive jumps.
