Welcome to summer in Oregon!
Finally, right?
It’s been a long and dreary stretch. In fact, it feels as though winter never really gave way to spring, leaking painfully all the way into June, giving us Oregonians record rainfall for the month and February-like temperatures that required long pants and jackets when we expect, instead, to be frolicking in the sun in shorts and T-shirts.
But, barring a few upcoming showers in the forecast for much of the state, summer’s finally here — we hope — and with it comes the laundry list of warm-weather opportunities unique to our fine state.
Wired Oregon is setting out to define summer in Oregon by asking you: what are your favorite Oregon summer activities? We’ll capture the essence of summer in Oregon by presenting your experiences and giving you new ones to consider. We’ll do stories and provide resources on where to go, where to stay, where to eat and where to play.
